Student Progression

According to School District of Lee County Promotion Policy 3.3, by the time students in grades 6-8 reach the end of 8th grade, they must:

1.  Earn a total of 12 core credits (English/ELA - 3 credits, Mathematics -3 credits, Science – 3 credits, and Social Studies – 3 credits) - earn annual grade of 60% or better for each
2.  Take and pass the Civics course
3.  Take the Civics EOC which is 30% of the overall annual grade for the Civics course

Our district has a “zero progression” policy, meaning that regardless of a student’s credit standing, he or she will be promoted from 6th grade to 7th grade, and from 7th grade to 8th grade.
