Caloosa Middle School is proud to be a Cambridge International School. Also known as Cambridge Lower Secondary, the Cambridge Program offers a flexible curriculum with integrated assessment. Designed for students ages 11-14, Cambridge Lower Secondary develops learners' skills and understanding in Mathematics, English and Science for the first three years of secondary education. Cambridge Lower Secondary provides excellent preparation for rigorous coursework at the high school level. Students who participate in Cambridge Lower Secondary will develop the skills necessary for success in Cambridge AICE, International Baccalaureate (IB), Dual Enrollment and Advanced Placement courses.
University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) is the world’s largest provider of international qualifications. CIE’s broad range of qualifications is recognized by universities, education providers, and employers across the globe. Cambridge programs and qualifications are progressive and flexible; helping schools develop successful students. More information regarding CIE.
Caloosa Middle School currently offers the Cambridge Lower Secondary curriculum in Math, Science, English, and Global Perspectives classes in grades 6-8. Through these rigorous classes, students will be prepared with the opportunity to excel beyond the standard middle school expectations and for the increased demands of advanced programs in high school and beyond.
I understand that participation in the Cambridge Secondary cohort in middle school does not mean my student will automatically participate in Cambridge AICE courses in high school nor does not participating in Cambridge Secondary prevent my child from taking Cambridge AICE courses in high school.
