Upon written request to the principal by the student or parent, the principal may allow work to be made up if there are special circumstances which justify the exception. Arriving early and staying late Students are not permitted on the school campus before 9:15 A.M. or after 4:15 P.M. without prior approval of the Principal. Even with prior approval, students must be supervised by a classroom teacher during their stay. Arriving late Students who arrive at school after the 9:45 A.M. bell must report to the office and sign in. Students must present a note from a parent explaining the tardiness. Excused tardies will only be given for a doctor's or dentist appointment or emergency situations. Three unexcused tardies will result in an absence and an after school detention. Request to leave school early Students who must leave school during the day must have parents call and bring a note from home stating the reason. The note should be brought to the office before school to be approved and presented to the student's teacher at the time the student is to leave class. Whatever the reason, whether it be an appointment or illness, a parent and the student must sign out in the office before leaving campus. We encourage parents to schedule all appointments for their children in late afternoon or early morning so that students will not miss school.
